Everything you need to know for your stay
Reservations & Deposits
A deposit equivalent to one night's rate will be charged to your credit card at the time of booking or 14 days prior to arrival.
Minimum Stay Requirements
- • Holiday weekends (President's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving): two-night minimum
- • Peak foliage (September/October): some weekends may require a two-night minimum
- • Marlboro Music Festival (mid-July to mid-August): three-night minimum for weekend reservations
Minimums may be relaxed within one to two weeks of the reservation date if availability permits.
Cancellations
- • 14+ days before arrival: full refund minus $10 processing fee
- • 13 or fewer days before arrival: deposit forfeited, but may be credited toward another stay within 12 months

Early check-in or late check-out requests require advance approval.
Smoking & Vaping
Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited indoors and in all guest rooms. Outdoor smoking and vaping (tobacco and cannabis) are permitted at least 25 feet from the building.
Pets
- • Dogs are welcome in select rooms for a $25 fee
- • Maximum one dog per room
- • Dogs cannot be left unattended while guests are away from the inn
- • Cats are not permitted (owner allergy)
- • Please contact us regarding other pets
Dietary Restrictions
We are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions with advance notice. Please be aware that nuts and gluten products are regularly used in our kitchen, and nut-free or gluten-free meals are prepared in our standard kitchen.
Alcohol
The Whetstone Inn does not hold a liquor license. Guests are welcome to bring their own beverages.
Internet & Communications
WiFi is available throughout the inn, though we cannot guarantee bandwidth. There are no televisions or telephones in guest rooms. Mobile service can be spotty in our area — we recommend using WiFi calling.
Security & Valuables
There are no safes or locks on individual rooms. The inn accepts no responsibility for lost money, jewelry, or valuables. Guests are financially responsible for all damages, stolen items, or breakage. Reporting damage promptly may result in waived fees.
